Proper dental care, especially during childhood, is integral to overall good health. The federal government recognizes that left unattended, childhood health problems can become more serious and more expensive to treat during adolescence and adulthood.
The Medicaid program exists to help eligible Arizona residents with limited incomes provide their children with good healthcare services. By partnering with states to manage eligible families’ healthcare programs, Medicaid helps reduce the need for costly adult health services later in life.
Arizona’s state Medicaid program is the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS).
AHCCCS covers dental services for children under 21 and pays part of the cost for emergency dental services for adults. At the Kids Dental Office of Phoenix, our child dentists and orthodontists accept payment through AHCCCS for dental services.
To schedule a dental services appointment for your child or to learn more about how your family may qualify for AHCCCS, call (602) 903-4894 or contact us online.
What Dental Services Does AHCCCS Pay For?
